In August 2002, Doyle posted the first prototype of what has now become the BCX INPUTBOX$ function, and a little later Doyle put together the BCX INFOBOX. These contributions were among the first to allow Unicode in BCX procedures.

Thank you Doyle. Rest in Peace.

You helped us all with your programs.
Rest in peace, Doyle.

His daughter posted on Facebook the sad news that Doyle passed away this morning.

Doyle was one of the earliest BCX collaborators, joining when BCX was just taking off.

He contributed several standout tools over the years — MenuMaker, with its clever design,
remains my favorite — and he often lent his expertise to help fellow BCXers solve coding
challenges.

Doyle was instrumental in helping me get my BCX Editor (BED) 64-bit conversion over the
finish line. I have humorous memories of Doyle, Ian Casey, and Dr. X (Fernando Ortiz) spending
countless hours on the old BCX IRC channel, debating everything under the sun.

Though they've all passed on, their memories and codes endure. You'll be missed, Doyle.
